CUPPING NOTES
Stone fruit, orange, lime blossom. Sweet, bright, silky body.
This coffee comes from the south of Ethiopia, from an area called Sidamo. It is a beautiful and rather isolated place, also known for the fact that most of the country’s gold is found there. Unfortunately, this sometimes leads to conflicts between those who work in mining and those who farm the land.
Sidamo is Ethiopia’s most important coffee-growing region. Its coffee is so highly valued that it accounts for a large part of the country’s export income.
This coffee grows wild in the forest, as it has always done. Although it is not certified organic, we could say that it is organic by nature, as is the case with many Ethiopian coffees. It is simply the way it is grown in a country where everything is made from what is available.
