Ovidio García lives with his wife and three children in his La Nueva Farm. He decided to to call it “The New” inspired by his new ideas and vision of coffee. He planted his first trees in 1987 and has been working ever since. When he was young, he worked with his parents as coffee picker on other farms in the region, which motivated his desire to own a farm. A few years ago he started using the honey process due to the scarcity of water in the area, turning a problem into a virtue. The quality of his coffees has been awarded at regional level.
