Korongo coffee is grown in the highlands of southern Tanzania, specifically in the regions of Mbozi, Mbeya, and Mbinga, where the cool climate and fertile soils provide ideal conditions for high-quality coffee cultivation. Farmers in these areas often intercrop coffee with maize, beans, sunflower, and ginger. The cherries are hand-picked, and each farmer processes them on their own farm. Generally, the cherries are pulped and fermented, then dried on raised beds for 14 to 20 days. The result is a juicy and sweet cup with floral notes and a hint of fruit.
