Coffee from Hambela village in Benti Nenka, Guji, Oromia, grows between 2000 and 2300 metres above sea level. In this area, coffee cultivation is deeply rooted in the culture of the community. Cherries are harvested by hand during the harvest from October to December, making sure to pick only ripe fruits to ensure quality. After harvesting, the cherries are naturally dried in the sun for 2 to 4 weeks, followed by resting in a cool place to enhance their flavour. Finally, they are pulped and ground to obtain the green beans that characterise this coffee.
