Colombia, Pitalito
In southwestern Colombia, Huila doesn’t just produce coffee—it defines it. In this region, where the landscape and culture revolve around the coffee bean, 35 of its 37 municipalities grow coffee, and 74% of the rural population relies on coffee farming for their livelihood. With more than 146,000 hectares under cultivation, Huila has established itself as the country’s leading coffee-producing region, recognized for its consistency, volume, and, above all, the outstanding quality of its cup profiles.
This lot reflects that legacy. It comes from a meticulous selection of coffees grown in Pitalito, one of the region’s most prestigious areas, and from producers affiliated with the Cadefihuila Cooperative. More than 3,500 small-scale coffee farmers, spread across 28 municipalities, work on family-run farms where every stage of the process is carried out with rigor and expert knowledge. Selective harvesting, precise processing, and controlled drying ensure that the coffee’s full potential is preserved from the very beginning.
Cadefihuila’s support is crucial. Its infrastructure—comprising an extensive network of purchasing points, specialized technical services, Cupping laboratories, and strategically located drying centers—ensures traceability, ongoing quality assessment, and producers’ access to tools that enhance their competitiveness.
The result is a coffee that goes beyond the product itself. It is an expression of the region, of craftsmanship, and of a value chain committed to excellence in every detail.
