Cupping NOTES
Bergamot, stone fruits, panela. Citric acidity and delicate body.
Abebe Mulugeta works with coffees from some of the regions of Ethiopia: Yirgacheffe, Lekempti, Kaffa, Djimma and Sidamo. With a track record of more than 15 years, it has consolidated its position in the world of coffee thanks to its commitment to fair and sustainable practices, working closely with smallholder coffee-growing communities in the southeast and southwest of the country.
The Guji region, located in Oromiya, southern Ethiopia, shares historical roots with Sidamo, although over time it has been recognized as an independent origin for the distinctive character of its coffees: complex, fragrant and with unique flavor profiles.
This lot has been processed using the Washed (or wet) method, in which the fruit pulp is removed before drying. After a controlled fermentation, the bean is carefully washed with water to remove the mucilage, which provides greater cleanliness in the cup and highlights the clarity and brilliance of its notes.
