Ato Solomon Worku founded SMS Coffee in 1998, an Ethiopian company with a long history in the production and export of specialty coffees. Solomon, who is from the Amhara region, studied accounting and business and began by importing coffee machinery. His passion for coffee led him to establish SMS.
Today, SMS operates several Washed processing stations Washed the Sidamo and Yirgacheffe regions (Komato, Korate, Gola, and Koke), as well as dry mills in Dilla and Kebado. The company has implemented a robust processing and quality control system, complete with its own laboratory, ensuring high standards.
With over 28 years of experience, SMS employs approximately 200 people and enjoys an excellent reputation.
